Hello Neighbors,

Happy Fall! A quick reminder that the South Gate Board meeting is held on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. All South Gate Members are encouraged to attend.

Here are some spotlight topics from the September meeting.

Inform

Join us for a Q&A about what is happening at Westfield Mall?

On October 19th at 6:30 please join us at the South Gate Community Center to learn more about the redevelopment of the South Gate Mall. A representative from Kimley-Horn, Benderson’s development consultant, will be there to inform us and answer questions regarding the project. Like you, the SG board wants to learn more about how this will affect our community. If you would like to make sure a specific question is presented, please send your questions in ahead of the meeting using the subject line – Benderson Meeting Question to Board@southgatefl.com.

Halloween Party

On October 28th at 5:00pm we will be hosting our annual SG Halloween Party. Fun games and yummy treats will be provided and of course a prize for the best costume. South Gate members of all ages are welcome. Please RSVP to Board@southgatefl.com with the subject line – Halloween Party.

Chili Cook-off

We want to know your “trick” for making the best chili. Let us know if you would be interested in being part of a Ghoulish Chili Cook-off. Please email Board@southgatefl.com with the subject line – Chili Cook-off

Great Neighbors make for a great community

Please remember that South Gate is a deed restricted community. Our deed restriction committee has received numerous complaints about cars being parked in yards or fences that are installed incorrectly etc.... If you have questions about guidelines go to southgatefl.com/drc-guidelines or email the Deed Restriction Committee with the subject line “Deed Question” at Board@southgatefl.com

It is so nice to see so many of our neighbors taking great pride in their homes. We would love to spotlight your home in an upcoming newsletter. Do you know a SG neighbor who has not become a SG member yet? Ask them why and let us know. The more we hear from our community the better the board will be able to serve you. Our Membership and Civic Affairs committees still need more help. Please consider volunteering your time and talent.
