Hello Neighbors, 

Our first monthly members meeting was held on February 13th, 2024.  The new board is in place and eager to set forth a few initiatives that were decided upon during the meeting.   Increasing our membership and protecting our beautiful community were at the top of the to-do list.

Many hands make for a BEAUTIFUL community center – Please help us get our community center ready for spring and the pool re-opening.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Join us for our annual Easter Egg Hunt, where light refreshments await and the thrill of finding Easter eggs beckons! This year, we're delighted to announce partial sponsorship from Heath Pest Control, our trusted neighbors and expert pest control providers. Kids, keep an eye out for the golden eggs they're sponsoring! For home pest control needs, contact Heath Pest Control at 941-922-7776 and speak with Clay. Let's make this Easter unforgettable together!

The South Gate sign is back!

Thank you to Steve Lewis, our board treasurer, for all of the time and effort put into the insurance and fulfillment process to get the beautiful South Gate sign back at the South Gate entrance on Siesta Drive.

Community Protectors

During most board meetings, we encounter neighbors facing challenges due to deed restriction violations, impacting their homes and lives. We're committed to aiding them and urging violators to uphold covenants vital to our community's well-being and property values.

How can you contribute?

• Become a member! Your $100 annual fee supports our Deed Restriction Committee (DRC) in safeguarding our community.

• Join our DRC to directly assist in protecting our community.

• Numerous tasks require assistance. Reach out to Veeanna or Marian at Deeds@southgatefl.com to get involved.

Let's unite to preserve our community's integrity.

Southgate is a Deed Restricted Community.

These are the January and February concerns reported:

• PINECREST ST - Camper on side of house with electric cord connecting to the house. Appears someone is living in the camper.

• GOLDENROD ST - Cars parked on lawn

• CLEMATIS PL - This type of home is not conducive to the homes that are currently in Southgate

• SATSUMA DR - Cars parked on lawn

• TANGELO DR - Cars parked on lawn

• MINEOLA WAY - Parking on the street overnight multiple cars. Stand alone shed arrived on property approximately January 15,2024

• VALENCIA DR - Cars parked on lawn

• CROTON AVE - Commercial equipment parked in front of the house for over a week. Home is an airbnb short term rental.

• VALENCIA DR - Multiple vehicles parking on grass. Big work trucks on front lawn overnight
