How to Volunteer

The SGCA is an all volunteer supported and run organization that serves the South Gate neighborhood and maintains the historic community center and grounds. If you’d like to help out there are a number of ways you can depending on your areas of interest and expertise.

Membership

The membership committee always needs help with data entry, reaching out to new homeowners and residents, coordinating annual membership drives, and attending SGCA social events to help verify or sign up new members.

Social

The SGCA Social committee exists to plan and coordinate social events for the community. Volunteers are always needed for each and every event.

Building & Grounds and Pool

There are a few ways to help maintain SGCA owned property. Volunteers are always welcome to join the B&G Committee for a work day at the South Gate Community Center on the first Saturday of each month. Keep an eye on the community calendar for more information.

Deed Restrictions

There are many ways to help the deed restriction committee. The deed restriction committee needs help with data entry, neighborhood patrols, verifying reported violations, and educating residents about deed restriction adherence.

South Gator Newsletter / Website

The South Gator has been a South Gate tradition for decades. We’re always looking for help with suggesting and writing articles for the email newsletter as well as maintaining the website with up-to-date information.

Nomination Committee

Work to recruit candidates for officer and Board positions for elections.
